Air Liquide has renewed its collaboration with US-based firm Solidia Technologies post the success of a pilot phase in which Solidia Concrete, an innovative solution which utilises carbon dioxide to cure concrete, was tested.

PKN Orlen will make use of UOP’s Q-Max and Phenol 3G technologies for its Poland-based phenol unit. The facility is expected to produce 200,000 metric tonnes of phenol annually. UOP will also provide a cumene unit and a phenol unit with alpha methyl styrene hydrogenation to the project.

The NortH2 project aims to produce green hydrogen by utilising renewable electricity from a gigantic offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. By 2040, green hydrogen production from this project is expected to be around 800,000 tonnes per year.
