Small-scale pharmaceutical production is becoming more and more important across the pharmaceutical industry. At CPHI Milan, Marchesini will present solutions for this segment alongside a predictive maintenance platform, an OEB5-contained capsule-filling machine, inspection technology using high-voltage leak detection (HVLD) and developments in automated line clearance.

Marchesini will exhibit at CPHI Worldwide in Milan from October 6 to 8 2026. The group will present technologies from its Pharma and Aseptic Business Units, focusing on pharmaceutical packaging, injectable drug manufacturing, and digital production support.

Automated Inspection of Syringes

The machines on display will include the NSY 200 from CMP Phar.ma, a monoblock system for the automated inspection of syringes. The line combines denesting, robotic transfer, inspection, and renesting in one system. Syringes are transferred to the inspection module in a single row, avoiding contact with one another and with metal components.

The inspection section can be equipped with up to ten inspection stations. Depending on the configuration, these can monitor the flange, stopper, particle detection, fill level, needle shield, glass-wall defects, and container integrity using high-voltage leak detection (HVLD). Four configurable rejection lanes are available for non-conforming syringes.

OEB5-contained Capsule Filling Machine and a Cart-based Platform

Also on display will be “GENiSYS C” from the US-based partner AST – a compact, cart-based filling and closing platform for vials, syringes, and cartridges. The system is designed for applications across the drug-development process, from early-stage development to commercial production.

Dott Bonapace will present an OEB5-contained capsule filling machine integrated with an isolator. The system is designed to process solid and liquid oral formulations and will be shown alongside a standard monoblock version. The company will also present a double-layer rotary tablet press, a compact single-layer tablet press, and a suppository and pessary production line with integrated filling, cooling, sealing, cutting, and coding operations. A benchtop blister machine with three independent stations will demonstrate thermoforming, sealing, coding, and cutting in a single cycle.

Predictive Maintenance and Vision Systems

The exhibition will also include a dedicated area for Morpheus, the predictive maintenance system designed to support production monitoring and management of installed machinery.

On October 7, from 2:45 p.m. to 3:10 p.m., Marchesini and Sea Vision, the group’s company specializing in vision systems, will jointly present developments in automated line clearance at the Packaging & Device Innovation Theatre. The technology is intended to automate and support clearance procedures on pharmaceutical production lines.
