It’s been 200+ days since the Iran-US war broke out and the Middle East has been put under the spotlight. With drone and missile attacks on critical energy infrastructure in the Gulf region, the Strait of Hormuz blocked, soaring global oil and gas prices, force majeures by regional oil and gas companies, and the Houthis now tightening their grip in the Red Sea, a lot has happened. Yet the UAE has not changed course, it’s pushing ahead with its ambitious bet on domestic industries and local manufacturing, a move in line with the UAE’s industrial strategy – Operation 300bn.
