Gevo has broken ground for the development of its first commercial-scale sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility in South Dakota, USA. The project - Net-Zero 1 will produce low-carbon SAF and construction is expected to begin in 2023.

BASF, Sabic and Linde have begun construction work on the world’s first demo plant for large-scale electrically heated steam cracker furnaces in Ludwigshafen, Germany. With this project, the consortium aims to reduce CO2 emissions in the chemical industry by at least 90 % as compared to other technologies of today.

Graforce’s methane electrolysis technology (plasmalysis) makes use of LNG or LPG to produce clean-burning hydrogen and solid, high-purity carbon. The innovative technology is expected to help the EU meet its decarbonization targets.

Under the terms of the contract, Wood will provide the full engineering scope for developing a world-class mineral processing plant as well as offer detailed engineering and procurement assistance services to establish a new methanol-to-olefin based gas-chemical complex in Uzbekistan.

Engineering consortium Petrofac has received notification of a provisional award for an engineering, procurement and construction contract with Sonatrach for the Tinrhert EPC2 Development Project in Algeria. The contract is valued at approximately 300 million dollars, with Petrofac’s share around 200 million dollars.
