Airgas USA, an Air Liquide company, announced plans to build a new liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) production facility in Stockton, California, and to expand an air separation unit (ASU) in Etiwanda, California.

The 450 million dollar deal will provide Total with reserves and resources in excess of 500 million barrels of oil. In addition to this, the company will also attain an exploration potential in the Sirte Basin which is under Waha Concessions.

The company is looking at a potential U.S. Gulf Coast project which is expected to expand its annual polypropylene manufacturing capacity by up to 450,000 tonnes.

Total has been awarded participating interests for the new Umm Shaif & Nasr concession and Lower Zakum concession by the Supreme Petroleum Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Adnoc w.e.f March 9, 2018. The deal is expected to bring the company a production of 80,000 barrels of oil per day in 2018.
