Welded Plate Heat Exchangers Can Reduce CO2 Emissions by 3 Million Tons Annually

Tranter’s NovusBloc welded plate heat exchangers have been selected for the expansion of a North American refinery. The plate heat exchangers are of different sizes and are made of 254SMO and 316L SS materials as well as a single Superchanger gasketed plate heat exchanger. The heat exchangers will be installed at the main production process to reduce CO2 emissions and is capable of handling flammable liquids and/or high temperature fluids.

BP to Develop New Large-Scale Green Hydrogen Production Plant in UK’s Teeside

BP’s ‘HyGreen Teesside’ project will produce 60 MWe of green hydrogen by 2025 with a potential to increase the production to 500Mwe ‎by 2030. With this project and in addition to the other existing project by the company i.e. the blue hydrogen project (H2Teesside), UK’s Teesside region is all set to become the country’s leading hydrogen hub to decarbonize industry ‎and heavy transport.

Lummus’ Technology to be Used for Phigenesis’ New Chemical Recycling Plant

Under a Letter of Intent signed between Lummus Technology and Phigenesis, the Lummus new hope plastics pyrolysis technology will be used by Phigenesis in its new chemical recycling facility which is expected to have a capacity of 150,000 tons per annum. With the help of this technology, Phigenesis will recycle waste plastics to manufacture petrochemical feedstock materials. The project will significantly increase the current chemical recycling capacity in Europe.
