There is a discharge pipe connected to the hammer mill outlet, through which the product is transported to the ground floor. A dosage gate valve, which dispenses doses of the product into the container below, is fitted to the discharge pipe. The Profi-Clean system removes dust and ensures pressure is equalized throughout the system. All crucial system components are rendered inert during the process.

And now we come to the heart of the system. As mentioned above, the customer opted for the Coniwitt and Hammerwitt milling systems.

Powder Mill Without Dead Spaces

The Coniwitt 200 is a CIP design sieve mill free from dead spaces. It can be used to de-agglomerate and mill dry and wet powders. The active sieve surface outrivals that of comparable mills on the market by 25 % and achieves a product flow rate of up to 2300 kg/h. The rotor can be fitted with round or square arms, and sieves with round or square openings or rasps can be used. The Coniwitt down-driven concept ensures the product can flow freely, and the modular design facilitates integration in a complete system.

Then there is the Hammerwitt MFH-6, the second element in the milling system. The hammer mill is designed for higher rotational speeds. There is a rotor mounted on one side, which can be rotated on the hammer side or the blade side. The one-sided rotor ensures that the product is not exposed to too much heat. The blade side of the rotor can be used to mill fibrous products and the hammer side to mill hard and crystalline products.

Milling Products with Different Properties

Products with completely different properties can also be milled easily using both milling devices: Fibrous, sticky, moist, dry, hard and soft, etc. The rotary speed can be finely tuned to the product and has a greater dynamic range in comparison to other sieve mills, which makes it possible to process products with varying properties.
