We are not only focusing on energy-efficient solutions but also saving energy and costs, and reducing CO2 emission. One can save up to 40 per cent of energy by controlling fans and pumps with variable speed drives from Danfoss.
Our company has also developed the ADAP-KOOL refrigeration control system that can efficiently achieve around 20 per cent saving in energy. Likewise we have many eco-friendly solutions for the F&B industry.

PROCESS: What are the challenges that the industry is facing in this country?
PURUSHOTHAMAN: Every industry has its own challenges. Shortage of energy is one of the major challenges that the F&B industry faces in India. It’s not only a challenge but also a hurdle when it comes to growth. Many companies hesitate to expand due to such infrastructural issues.
Furthermore, lack of talents with right skills is also a challenge. Unfortunately, the sector is not as attractive as the IT is for youngsters. As a result, there is higher demand for the right skills. Alternatively, since the sector is growing at a great speed, there is an increasing need of skills. Our country also covers vast geographical area, in which case, transporting perishable goods such fruits, vegetables, etc., is another challenge for the industry.
