Nadja Håkansson, Member of the Executive Board / COO of Thyssenkrupp Decarbon Technologies & CEO of Thyssenkrupp Uhde: “We are proud to support CF Industries in evaluating this strategic growth opportunity. By enabling greater utilization of existing CO₂ resources, the Courtright project has the potential to strengthen production capacity while creating additional value from existing assets. The award underscores the trust our customers place in our fertilizer and process technology expertise.”

CF Industries operates one of North America's largest ammonia production networks and continues to invest in projects that strengthen its production platform and meet growing customer demand. The proposed project demonstrates how existing industrial assets can be enhanced through process integration technologies, enabling the productive use of CO2 streams that are currently underutilized for the production of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), a widely used reagent for reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from diesel engines. The award further strengthens Thyssenkrupp Uhde's position as a leading partner for the fertilizer and chemicals industries, providing innovative technology solutions and engineering excellence to customers worldwide.
