The web-based Simatic PCS neo process control system is a completely newly developed system software that opens up unique opportunities for companies in the process industry in the age of digitization. This includes, for example, global, web-based collaboration in engineering and operation as well as intuitive operation with all relevant information in a single workbench.

Users benefit from an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI): Each application can be accessed with just a few clicks. The Simatic PCS neo Workbench makes it easy to switch between the engineering and monitoring & control views at any time. The consistent object-oriented data model increases efficiency and quality over the entire plant life cycle.

All information can be accessed quickly and easily at any time and from any location via a secure Internet connection. Web-based, parallel work by any number of users therefore requires no local software installation. The basis for this is clear rights and role management. Object-oriented data management and a clear session concept ensure consistent information at all times.

Thanks to its open and flexible architecture, modular engineering is firmly integrated with the support of Module Type Packages (support of the open MTP standard). Highest scalability enables the use of control technology from small process modules to the largest plants in the world. This is made possible by maximum reusability of engineering codes for simple scale-up and adaptation to different plant sizes.
