Solvay has launched the centers in the United States and Europe. The Product Development Center in Georgia will focus on the development of next-generation thermoplastic composites while the Customer Engagement Center in Belgium will collaborate with customers to accelerate the market adoption of thermoplastic composites.
With an aim to meet the growing global demand, Solvay has plans to increase its soda ash and sodium bicarbonate production capacity by 600 kilo tonnes in the USA and 200 kilo tonnes in Bulgaria respectively.

The efficiency programme aims to increase the production capacity of soda ash by 500 kt and of sodium bicarbonate by 100 kt in the next two years. It will also ensure security of supply for the company’s soda ash and sodium bicarbonate customers.
Solvay has agreed to link the terms of an existing $ 2.3 billion revolving credit facility to a reduction in greenhouse gases. The company concluded this positive incentive agreement with its syndicate of nine banks.
