Under a partnership between KBR and Exxonmobil Catalysts and Licensing, both the companies will work together towards significant advancements to the propane dehydrogenation technology. Exxonmobil's new proprietary catalyst technology when combined with KBR's proprietary K-Pro Propane Dehydrogenation technology is able to convert propane into propylene leading to low energy consumption and cost savings.

International Cooperation Kicks Off MDI Megaplant

Teaming up for China: Together, BASF, Huntsman, Shanghai Hua Yi Group, Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Chemical and Sinopec kicked off the construction of a new 240,000 tons MDI plant at Caojing, China. The facilities will complement existing lines of Shanghai Lianheng Isocyanate at the site, giving it a total 480,000 tons per year capacity.
