Under a ten-year contract signed between both the parties, Air Liquide will purchase 52 gigawatt-hours per year of solar photovoltaic renewable energy from Shell Energy Europe to power its industrial and medical gas production operations in North East Italy.

Under an Electrolyzer Manufacturing Binding Agreement signed between both the parties, Mc Phy will grant exclusive license of its pressurized alkaline electrolyzer technology to L&T for the production of electrolyzers. Four of Elkem plants at Salten, Rana, Thamshavn and Fiskaa in Norway have participated in a process industry strike which began yesterday – August 15. Air Liquide will be using its new cracking technology in the development of an ammonia cracking pilot plant in Belgium. The technology enables the conversion of ammonia into hydrogen, which can then be transported over long distances.
