Prime Polymer has awarded Toyo Engineering with an EPC contract to build a new polypropylene plant at its Ichihara-shi, Chiba site in Japan. On completion, the facility is expected to produce 200,000 tons per year.

Siemens Energy and Toray will jointly promote the development of the largest multi megawatt class PEM electrolysis in Japan under the Green Innovation Funding Program arranged by the Japanese Government. As a technology licensor, the traditional Thuringian company will implement a new 180-KTPA polycarbonate plant in Zhangzhou, China for its subsidiary Zhangzhou Chimei Chemical.
