Under the terms of the agreement, Lummus and Braskem will focus on global licensing of commercial green ethylene technology in order to accelerate the use of bioethanol for developing chemicals and plastics. The initiative supports the carbon neutral circular economy.

Solvay’s multi-year plan to expand its sulfone polymers business in the USA includes capacity increase for its Udel PSU sulfone polymer of over 25 % by 2024 as well as for its dichlorodiphenyl sulfone by more than 25 % by 2024.

Under a strategic agreement signed between Honeywell and TotalEnergies, Honeywell will supply Recycled Polymer Feedstock (RPF) to TotalEnergies, which will then convert it into virgin-quality polymers to be used for food-grade packaging and other applications. For this, Honeywell is working together with Sacyr to develop an advanced recycling plant in Spain.

Dow and Plastogaz will work together to simplify the process of converting plastic waste-to-feedstock in order to develop new virgin plastics. The new process aims to increase the carbon-yields of advanced recycling and to minimize the energy needs for advanced recycling, thus reducing its CO2 footprint.

BASF has plans to increase the production capacity of its hindered amine light stabilizers in Pontecchio Marconi, Italy and Lampertheim, Germany. The move is expected to meet the growing demand for sustainable solutions across the globe.
