Located in Marl, Germany, Evonik’s new plant has begun production of a high-performance membrane which plays a crucial role in the production of more cost-efficient green hydrogen. The unit has the capacity to produce membranes for an electrolysis capacity of up to 2.5 gigawatts per year.

Carbon Recycling International has delivered the world’s largest e-methanol reactor for the Liaoyuan E-Methanol Project in Jilin Province, China. The first phase of this project has a production capacity of approximately 170,000 tonnes of renewable methanol annually from green hydrogen and captured biogenic carbon dioxide.

With an annual capacity of 200 kilotons, the new plant which is operated by Fuhua and licensed by Evonik is one of the largest in the region for industrial-grade hydrogen peroxide.

Sunfire recently broke ground for a new green hydrogen test facility at BASF’s Industrial Park Lausitz site in Schwarzheide, Germany. With this project, Sunfire aims to validate its latest and most powerful SOEC product generation in an industrial environment.

BP’s new facility is expected to generate up to 11,000 tons of green hydrogen annually. Bilfinger has been selected to deliver the prefabrication, assembly and installation of plant components for BP’s new green hydrogen electrolyzer.
