New Firm HEGRA Launched to Boost Green Ammonia Production

The newly established HEGRA company co-owned by Aker, Yara and Statkraft aims to electrify and decarbonize the ammonia plant at Herøya, Norway thus, ensuring large-scale green ammonia production. With the new firm, the partners also intend to create a new industry in Norway that provides a competitive advantage in a growing global hydrogen economy as well as forms the basis for a future Norwegian export industry.

Mitsui, CF Industries to Explore Development of Blue Ammonia Projects

Under a MOU signed between Mitsui and CF Industries, both the companies will jointly explore the development of blue ammonia projects in the United States by conducting various feasibility studies. The companies will also study different areas including the establishment of blue ammonia supply and supply chain infrastructure, CO2 transportation and storage, etc.
