Under a MOU, BASF and Sulzer Chemtech will work together to develop innovative sustainable technologies for the production of renewable fuels and chemically recycled plastics with an aim to reduce its carbon intensity.

Mc Dermott has won a Front-End Engineering Design (Feed) contract from Viva Energy Australia. The scope of work includes providing Feed services for a new modularized production unit which will be a part of the firm’s Geelong Refinery project. The unit is expected to produce ultra-low sulfur gasoline.

Thyssenkrupp Uhde has been selected as the technology provider for Nutrien’s clean ammonia plant in the USA which is expected to have a capacity of 3,500 metric tons daily. Based on autothermal reforming technology, the plant aims to capture and store more than 90 % of the CO2 emissions via CCS.

Fluor has secured a front-end engineering as well as a detailed design, engineering and procurement services contract to establish a new renewable diesel unit for Imperial’s major renewable diesel complex at its Strathcona refinery in Alberta, Canada. Expected to produce approximately 20,000 barrels of renewable diesel daily, the project is expected to be the largest renewable diesel production facility in Canada.
