At a soon to be held trade fair, Maag Group’s acquired French tool manufacturing firm AMN DPI will be showcasing a complete AMN Central Injection System (CIS) consisting of a 1500 mm diameter die plate with a central water injection and sword shaped knives.

Green ammonia is gradually becoming popular within the industry due to its outstanding benefits such as the production of zero-carbon fertilizers and fuel. It is also an excellent energy storage medium and carrier of hydrogen which makes it more attractive to industry players. Many big-ticket projects with a dedicated focus on producing green ammonia have been announced worldwide in recent years and with time it’s only going to increase as more and more industrial firms join the net-zero objective.

With an aim to meet the growing demand for high-performance plastics, Exxonmobil has started up its new polypropylene production unit at the Polyolefins Plant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. The new facility is expected to double the firm’s polypropylene production at Baton Rouge.

Tessenderlo has recently broken ground for a new Thio-Sul manufacturing plant at its Chemelot site in Geleen, the Netherlands. The fertilizers will be used for crops, arboricultural and vegetable crop cultivation.

Under the terms of a joint venture agreement signed between Ineos and Sinopec, Ineos will acquire a 50 % share in Sinopec’s existing Tianjin Nangang Ethylene Project which is currently under development. The new petrochemicals complex will include a 1.2 mtpa cracker, and 12 other derivative plants, including a 300ktpa ABS plant and a 500ktpa HDPE plant.

Repsol, Naturgy, Reganosa have plans to establish a 200 MW renewable hydrogen plant which will initially have a capacity of 30 MW. Once complete, the plant will produce 30,000 tons of renewable hydrogen per year and will then supply it to Repsol’s refinery in A Coruña as well as other consumers.

Bentley Systems has recently launched itwin Experience, itwin Capture, and itwin IOT to extend its itwin platform. The new solutions are expected to empower Bentley Infrastructure Cloud and advance the company’s engineering applications.

The consortium has entered into a joint development and cooperation agreement to establish a commercial plant which will produce olefins and aromatics from plastic waste. Synova and Technip Energies’ combined technology will be used for the plant which will be integrated with Sabic’s steam cracker.

Arkema has plans to double the capacity of its powder polyester resins at its Navi Mumbai facility in India as it views the country a key growth market for the powder coatings industry.

Topsoe has been selected by Ascension Clean Energy as a technology provider for its industrial-scale low carbon ammonia project in in Louisiana, USA. The project will be using Topsoe’s autothermal reforming technology and is expected to produce 7.2 million metric tons of clean ammonia every year.
