The South Korean company LG Chem has signed a MOU with Netspa under which it will be responsible for sorting and processing plastics from marine wastes. LG Chem will then use it to produce recycled plastics.

The publication of the ‘EU Chemical Industry Transition Pathway’ by the European Commission has given a concrete direction to the European chemical industry to work in. The move will assist the industry to digitalize its processes, become climate neutral, circular, and also transition to sustainable chemicals by 2050.
