Solvay has introduced its latest solution – The new Xydar LCP G-330 HH material which meets the challenging thermal and insulation requirements of battery module plates of EV models operating with higher voltage systems.

Under a MOU, Adnoc together with the Government of North Rhine-Westphalia and Currenta will explore opportunities for the development of a low-carbon ammonia value chain in Germany. The aim of the contract is to produce and transport low-carbon ammonia as a fuel in energy generation.

Under a cooperation agreement signed between Braskem and Coolbrook, both the parties will work together to implement a pilot project which intends to electrify crackers by replacing the use of thermal energy from fossil fuels with electricity from renewable sources.

The joint project ‘Pülpegas’ will be developing an innovative industrial biogas plant with a capacity of up to 60GWh/year at the Zeitz Chemical and Industrial Park in Germany. Funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the project will demonstrate wheat pulp mono-fermentation on an industrial scale.

Exxonmobil has recently made the announcement regarding the hefty investment for expanding its Baytown chemical plant in Texas, USA. The project is expected to maximize the value of increased Permian Basin production.

Saudi Aramco and Linde Engineering have plans to develop a new ammonia cracking technology which is expected to create new commercial opportunities for them within the global lower-carbon energy supply chain. A demo plant will also be established in Germany to showcase the technology.
