Indian Oil has plans to set up the Paradip Petrochemical Complex at Paradip, Odisha in India by investing 7.4 billion dollars, thus, making it the largest-ever investment by the oil major at a single location.

Plug Power has set a new record by producing 122 MW of PEM electrolyzer stacks in Q1 2023, an industry first at its 2.5 GW gigafactory in New York, USA. Moving further, the company intends to expand its factory to produce 100 MW per month in mid-Q2 2023.

Exxonmobil has started-up its Beaumont refinery expansion project in the USA which is expected to increase capacity for transportation fuels by 2,50,000 barrels daily. The project is claimed to be the largest refinery expansion in the country since 2012.

Under a joint venture, LG Chem and Huayou Cobalt will develop a new battery precursor plant in Korea. The new unit is expected to have a 50,000-ton annual production capability by 2026 and later on as new facilities are added, it will double its annual precursor production to 100,000 tons.

Under an Electrolyzer Manufacturing Binding Agreement signed between both the parties, Mc Phy will grant exclusive license of its pressurized alkaline electrolyzer technology to L&T for the production of electrolyzers.
