Polyester Plant Start-Up Reliance Starts Polyester Yarn Production at Silvassa

Indian petrochemical company Reliance (RIL) starts the production of polyester yarn at its site in Silvassa. Commissioning of this modern production facility takes RIL's capacity for polyester filament yarns to 1.5 million tons per year.

Silvassa/India – The new, automated plant is located next to an existing texturizing facility of RIL, helping to minimise packaging and cargo costs. This advantage could help to make Silvassa one of the most cost-efficient polyester fiber production sites worldwide, RIL believes.
