India: EPC Project Petrofac Wins Second Contract Worth 200 Million Dollars

Petrofac is expanding into the Indian market and will be undertaking an EPC contract by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation for its Visakh Refinery Modernisation Project in Andhra Pradesh.

India – One of the leading service providers to the oil and gas industry, Petrofac has been awarded a contract by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation for its Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) Block Package for the Visakh Refinery Modernisation Project (VRMP), Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.

The lump-sum engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project, valued at approximately 200 million dollars, includes licensing and commissioning. The SRU package will be constructed within the existing refinery under the terms of the 30-month contract.

Recently, the company also won a lump-sum EPC contract by Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) valued at approximately 135 million dollars. The scope of work included engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and assistance with commissioning for BPCL’s Kochi Refinery in Kerala.
