Petrofac’s EPS division has been awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract for a UAE project. The project is in line with the company’s strategy of improving its record in smaller greenfield and brownfield EPC projects.
Petrofac has been awarded two contracts for Adnoc’s Dalma Gas Development Project in the UAE. The contracts revolve around engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, offshore installation and commissioning of the gas project.
The Turk Stream Gas Pipeline links Russia’s large gas reserves with Turkey. As a part of this project, Petrofac was awarded an EPC contract for the development of a gas receiving terminal on the Turkish Black Sea coast.
Petrofac has secured numerous new contracts as well as contract extensions under its Engineering and Production Services (EPS) division. The division has won its maiden EPC contract in Malaysia for a new boiler unit at one of Malaysia’s largest fertiliser plants.
Petrofac has won a contract in Oman to produce a basic engineering package to recover gas that is currently flared at three onshore locations. In addition to this, the company will produce a Feed for Waha Oil Company’s Gialo III field, onshore Libya and is also responsible for a four-month conceptual and pre-Feed study for the rehabilitation of the Dahra Oil Field in Concession 32, onshore Libya.
The 12-month contract aims to support Total and Socar’s exploration & production activities in Azerbaijan. It is also expected to support the activity in the Absheron natural gas field, located in the Caspian Sea.
Petroleum Development Oman’s mega project has begun gas production from six sour wells in Oman. Under the terms of the contract, Petrofac has provided engineering, procurement, construction management and commissioning support services worth around 1.25 billion dollars for the project.
Under the terms of the agreement, Petrofac and Marginal Field Development Company will join forces and operate gas to wire facilities for recovering marginal gas fields in the UK. The move is expected to maximise economic recovery and support the country’s clients.
Petrofac has been awarded a procurement services project for the Mabrouk North East Line Pipe Procurement Project in Oman. The scope of work involves management of line pipe material from sourcing, technical and commercial evaluation, planning and control services with management and co-ordination of interfaces with all parties involved.
