Kelheim/Germany — The “jubilee tonne“ was produced on line 2 and is a Galaxy fibre, which is produced for the tampon industry. The company has more than 80 years of experience in fibre production. From one tonne of viscose fibres, 500,000 tampons or 5,000 shirts can be produced.

CEO Craig Barker is proud of the “anniversary” and used the occasion to emphasize the loyalty of the company's employees. At Kelheim, there are families working in the third or even fourth generation for our company, he said, adding that their engagement and know-how were the cornerstone of the manufacturers success. The CEO stated that the consistent innovation strategy and small and flexible production lines were the basis for the company's positions as the world’s leading manufacturer of viscose speciality fibres.
