Secure Filling and Packing of Special Mixes
Mixing and packing plants for special products frequently also produce very small batch sizes, for instance, kosher items that are governed by particularly strict product guidelines. As recipes are changed often, the machinery used needs to comply with stringent standards for purity and contamination prevention.
Another challenge faced is after the mixing process; the areas of control screening, dosing and precise weighing of bulk goods into various receptacles such as barrels, boxes, big bags or containers need to be covered properly, to ensure no contamination at the end stage.
Filling Using the DA-Type Screener
The DA-type cyclone screener is a machine that performs two functions. It screens the products before filling while also acting as a dosing unit. The bulk materials coming from the mixer are passed via the product inlet into the dosing screw equipped with a separate drive. The dosing screw transports the bulk materials into the screener housing. Adjusting the dosing screw speed to product-specific settings via a frequency converter achieves the exact dosing that is required for a smooth screening process through the even flow of the bulk materials.
The bulk materials are then taken up by an infeed distributor fitted with a separate drive and horizontal cyclone strips and are spun carefully through the drum-shaped screen basket. After screening, the fine materials drop into a receptacle, which is positioned on the scales. Elimination of unwanted size particles occurs at the outlet for coarse material. Metals are also eliminated using special metal separators.
