European Directive 97/23/CE for valves aims to protect users against the risk of bursting under pressure. Since June 2002 Effebi has manufactured all its valves according to the requirements of the Directive and, where necessary, the valve bodies are CE marked. Effebi’s prompt decision to CE make all its valves comply with List 6 of the Directive — the most stringent classification, which ensures the highest levels of safety for customers — is another sign of the care and accuracy the company applies to all aspects of customer service.

Effebi has commissioned an independent authority, Bureau Veritas, to check and oversee all future production, from planning to final tests.

Effebi also offers customers all the most important certificates and declarations relating to ball valves, including DVGW (gases), TÜV, Gost, Fire Safe and Atex for installations in hazardous atmospheres.

Thanks to their excellent quality, Effebi products are certified by the leading inspection authorities both in the main industrialized countries and in developing nations. More than 50 certifications and approvals demonstrate the quality and reliability of Effebi products.

A Valve for Every Application

Effebi ball valves are suitable for all the most important industrial applications, including chemicals, petrochemicals, refineries, hydraulic and pneumatic installations, food plants, and distribution lines for gas, air, water and vacuum.

The Effebi range includes 2- and 3-way (L/T port) ball valves with threaded, flanged (DIN and ANSI) and welded (butt and socket) connections. Materials of construction for the process industries are carbon steel (A105–LF2) and stainless steel (A304–A316). For valves with with PTFE seats, working temperatures range from –10 °C to +180 °C; for higher temperatures — up to 300 °C — graphite-reinforced PTFE and PEEK materials are also available. The choice of pressure ratings is quite wide, from 16–40 bar (flanged) up to 420 bar (threaded). Special versions including grease-free ball valves, heating jackets, stem extensions and mounting kits for pneumatic and electric actuators are available on demand.
