Kochi Refinery Technip Receives to Work on India's Kochi Refinery

Technip was awarded a contract to provide project management by Air Products. The contract includes engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for a new industrial gas complex for Bharat Petroleum Corporation – Kochi Refinery (BPCL-KR) located in the state of Kerala, India.

Mumbai/India - Being built on a “Build-Own-Operate” basis (BOO), the industrial gas complex of Air Products is designed to cater to the requirement of industrial gases (Hydrogen, Nitrogen and Oxygen) of BPCL-KR for its Integrated Refinery Expansion Project (IREP), which will increase BPCL-KR’s crude refining capacity from 9.5 million metric tons per annum to 15.5 million metric tons per annum (from 190,000 barrels per day to 310,000 barrels per day) and produce clean transportation fuels to meet Euro IV/V specifications.
