The new Nexera IC ion chromatograph reduces routine workload and speeds decision making. It automates common water quality tasks and keeps operation straightforward for non-specialist users. Optional IC Solution software automatically dilutes out-of-range samples and highlights abnormal results to cut repeat analyses, while the IC Support app guides daily procedures, maintenance and troubleshooting to lower hands-on time and training needs. The instrument’s compact, front-accessible design keeps pumps, suppressors and autosampler consumables easy to reach and replace, reducing downtime and simplifying lab logistics. Automation features such as FlowPilot equilibrate columns and solvent conditions before runs to avoid pressure shocks and improve robustness for less experienced operators. Delivered with preconfigured methods, reporting templates and lab solutions integration, the new ion chromatograph helps labs meet regulatory workflows faster and with fewer interruptions, the company states.

The IRSpirit X Series makes routine materials and QC analysis faster and easier by guiding users through measurements with IR Pilot and a spectrum advisor that flags spectrum quality, reducing training time and increasing throughput. Three models cover typical lab needs: IRSpirit LX for entry level tasks, IRSpirit TX for high sensitivity in a compact FTIR, and IRSpirit ZX for stable measurements in high temperature and high humidity environments thanks to moisture robust components. All non-consumable parts in the series carry a ten year guarantee.

The new Altrace speeds up contaminant screening and compliance testing by delivering fast, reliable analysis of toxic heavy metals across liquids, powders and pellets. It is an energy‑dispersive X‑ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometer that requires no chemical pretreatment, cutting hands‑on time and accelerating inspection cycles. The automated sample system uses four 12‑position trays, allowing labs to add or modify samples while the instrument is running. Altrace combines a redesigned X‑ray and signal‑processing system, a high‑efficiency detector, a high‑output X‑ray source and selectable filters to achieve sensitivity down to 0.1 mg/kg for heavy metals such as cadmium and lead, while reducing time to target accuracy compared with previous models.

The GCMS‑QP2050 gas chromatograph–mass spectrometer combined with the optional HS‑20NX headspace autosampler speeds up contaminant screening and compliance testing while cutting hands‑on time. Laboratories benefit from reliable trace‑level analysis for environmental, food and product‑safety workflows, with less sample preparation, flexible scheduling (add or modify headspace samples while the instrument runs) and practical starter/maintenance kits that keep uptime high. The HS‑20NX is available as an add‑on for headspace workflows and provides ultra‑low carry‑over, improved reproducibility and barcode traceability for robust volatile and headspace analyses.

Shimadzu’s TOC portfolio helps laboratories and operators meet regulatory requirements and make faster decisions by delivering reliable TOC/TIC results with minimal hands‑on effort. Tailored solutions cover different deployment needs: the TOC‑L for proven benchtop laboratory analysis, the TOC‑4200 for continuous online monitoring in process and water networks, and the TOC‑1000e (eTOC) for embedded or remote online monitoring. All systems prioritise easy operation, quick access to service and consumable parts, and traceable data output, reducing repeat measurements, downtime and administrative burden.
