Crisis ridden chemicals firm Lanxess has defined a three phase realignment strategy, which includes a significant reduction of business units. Additionally, the company plans to cut positions, especially in its global administration.

Specialty chemicals company Lanxess officially has inaugurated its new neodymium butadiene rubber (Nd-BR) plant in Singapore. Located next to Lanxess’ existing butyl rubber plant on Jurong Island, the world-scale facility represents an investment of approximately €200 million.

Production machines for ready-made sauces, dips and mayonnaise are required to finely and thoroughly, yet gently, mix and emulsify components, while also ensuring uniform quality and economic operation. Since the requirements are very high, the machinery used should be efficient enough to fulfill them. BASF expects peak sales of approximately $ 4.3 billion for products in its crop protection pipeline by 2027. The company announced that product candidates from all indications had reached advanced development phases and global registration was proceeding for key technologies.
