Ineos Styrolution has launched two new sustainable drop-in solutions which are produced from styrene by making use of renewable feedstock. The new materials have the potential to reduce carbon footprint between 77 % and 99 %.

Nouryon has successfully produced the first ethylene amines products in a Swedish demonstration plant, confirming the new technology on an industrially relevant scale and marking the next step towards full commercialization. A new study by Fertilizers Europe and Dechema has revealed that CO2 emissions from ammonia production in Europe could be reduced by almost a fifth in 2030. Yokogawa Electric Corporation announces that its subsidiary, Yokogawa China, has signed a partnership agreement with Sinopec Engineering in order to build a long-term collaborative relationship.

The contract has been awarded by Woodside for its Pyxis and Xena fields which are located offshore North West Australia. Under the terms of the agreement, Technip FMC will design, manufacture, deliver and install subsea equipment for both the fields.

With Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the British multinational oil and gas major BP has plans to quit its 20 % share in Russia’s state-owned company Rosneft. BP chief executive officer Bernard Looney as well as former BP group chief executive Bob Dudley have also resigned from the board of Rosneft with immediate effect.
