Water Filtration Mann+Hummel acquires Microdyn-Nadir
Mann+Hummel wants to strengthen its position in the water filtration business and increases its shares in the membrane and module manufacturer Microdyn-Nadir. Since August 2014 the company headquartered in Wiesbaden has been responsible for Mann+Hummel´s water business.
Wiesbaden, Ludwigsburg/Germany – The filtration specialist Mann+Hummel increases its stake in Microdyn-Nadir from 50 to 100 percent. The membrane and module manufacturer is now a 100 percent subsidiary of Mann+Hummel. Mann+Hummel intent to become as well a company in the water filtration business. The agreement requires the approval of the cartel authorities.
Microdyn-Nadir focuses on the production and distribution of flat sheet membranes and supplies membranes and modules for the micro-, ultra- and nanofiltration. Mann+Hummel is specialised in filtration solutions and is known as a development partner and supplier to the international automobile and manufacturing industries. In the water filtration sector, Mann+Hummel has been focusing on the production of polymer hollow fiber membranes up to now.
Responsible for the Water Business
Since August 2014 Microdyn-Nadir has been responsible for Mann+Hummel´s water business. Its membrane activities have been marketed under Microdyn-Nadir´s company brand ever since. Microdyn-Nadir will keep focusing on membranes and modules in the future. The ultrafiltration membranes and modules of Mann+Hummel will be marketed and distributed under the product brand Aquadyn.
Besides its own production sites in Wiesbaden and Xiamen (China), Microdyn-Nadir now has another manufacturing base in Singapore and is present with sales offices in Raleigh (USA) and Jundiaí (Brazil).
