The plant has already begun production and aims to generate granulated urea fertiliser as its main product. With this plant, the new ammonia-urea complex is expected to produce 1,200 tonnes of ammonia and 2,000 tonnes of urea per day.

Polystyreneloop Cooperative has established a new recycling plant in Terneuzen, the Netherlands. The facility is expected to launch on June 16, 2021 and will have the capacity to recycle 3,300 metric tons of polystyrene foam demolition waste per year.

Maire Tecnimont’s subsidiary Nextchem has secured a FEED contract by Total Energies for a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant in Grandpuits, France. With an expected capacity of 400,000 tons per year of SAF, the facility is part of Total Energies’ plan to convert its Grandpuits Refinery into a zero-crude platform.

Under a long-term agreement signed between Air Liquide and Severstal, Air Liquide will build a new ASU plant at the Severstal Chermk site in Russia, which is claimed to be one of the largest oxygen sites in continental Europe.

Vertellus will acquire IM Chemicals, a specialty chemical manufacturer, under an agreement signed between both the parties. The move is in line with Vertellus’ strategy of becoming a leading global provider of specialty chemicals and solutions.
