Uniper has unveiled its plan to establish a national hub for hydrogen in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. The ‘Green Wilhelmshaven’ project will include an import terminal for green ammonia–which will be equipped with an ‘ammonia cracker’ for producing green hydrogen—as well as a 410-MW electrolysis plant.

Carbon Nanotube (CNT) is used as material for cathodes in electric vehicle batteries. LG Chem recently expanded its 1,200-ton Yeosu CNT Plant 2 in Korea and has also commenced commercial operations.

Under the terms of the agreement, KBR will be supplying an ammonia converter basket as proprietary equipment for Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation’s Tamil Nadu-based plant.
