At Interpack 2026, IMA presents an integrated exhibition space covering more than 4,500 sqm, featuring 38 machines in action. The company focuses on its concept of “Cognitive Manufacturing”, describing connected production environments in which automation, digital systems, and human interaction are closely integrated.

A central element of the booth is “The Loop”, an area dedicated to innovation themes such as autonomous robotics, AI-driven applications, and digitalized production processes. Additional sections include Ima Service, which addresses digital services and maintenance concepts, and Ima Openlab, focusing on materials, sustainability, and packaging development.

Ima Pharma as the All-In-One Supplier

Ima Pharma is the All-In-One supplier for the processing and packaging of pharmaceutical products, structured into the divisions Ima Active (solid dose), Ima Life (aseptic processing and freeze-drying), and Ima Safe (packaging). Among the systems on display:

  • Domina tablet press: a modular platform designed to enable flexible configurations for different powder compression requirements.
  • Accelata CTC (Ima Thomas): the only coater on the market manufactured with an integrated cooling chamber, eliminating the need for external systems and supporting continuous processing with large batch sizes (from 100/1,000 kg/h). The machine reduces material waste and reprocessing during startup and shutdown. A new automatic loading (and unloading) system will be presented.
  • Injecta 36 fill-finish line with Detecta inspection unit (Ima Life): a high-speed solution for pre-filled syringes, combining filling and downstream inspection, including plunger presence detection and single non-conformity rejection.
  • Tile-X system: designed for aseptic fill-finish processes using magnetic levitation for contactless handling of Ready-to-Use components, suited for high-value pharmaceuticals such as biopharmaceuticals and ATMPs with a focus on Cell & Gene therapies.

Isolator Research and Blister Packaging

The Iso-Tech Lab area is devoted to the Isolator Research and Development Laboratory. There, Ima Life introduces a new VPHP bio-indicator based on Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores (ATCC 12980), intended for validation and monitoring of decontamination cycles in isolators.

Packaging technologies include:

  • Giant 1 Series (Ima Safe): incorporates a blister‑overturning module aimed at improving downstream efficiency and reducing packaging material and volume.
  • Giant 5-A96 (Ima Safe): a high‑speed blister packaging machine (up to 1,300 blisters/minute and 500 cartons/minute), combined with a robotic line-clearance system using a single-camera inspection approach. The machine will run on mono-PET at Interpack.
  • SAAS Series (Ima Strong): vertical form-fill-seal machines for suppositories integrating forming solutions, sealing, volumetric dosing, and a spiral‑path cooling system for controlled solidification. The compact SAAS2 model reaches up to 6,000 packs/hour. The full series reaches 30,000 suppositories/ovules/hour.

Ima Med-Tech for Medical Device Assembly

Ima Med-Tech presents assembly and handling solutions for medical devices such as injectables, inhalers, diagnostic devices, wearables, surgical sutures, contact lenses, and IOLs.

  • X Pen Series: based on a linear magnetic transport system (LMTS), designed for final assembly of pens and autoinjectors with speeds ranging from 40 to 160 ppm. Integrated options include vision inspection, no glass-to-glass PFS handling, force-distance controlled assembly, priming, and labeling.
  • X Pen Lab: a semi-automatic solution for clinical trials and small-scale production, supporting force-distance monitoring and multi-variant assembly.
  • Assembla platform: an engineer-to-order system for medical device assembly, covering production scales from clinical trials to full industrial manufacturing (20-500 ppm).

Ima Food

Ima Food showcases processing and packaging technologies for a wide range of sectors, including tea, coffee, confectionery, dairy, and ready meals. Highlighted systems include:

  • C28 E Plus (Ima Tea & Herbs): a tea bag machine using the knot technology, producing up to 250 bags per minute.
  • TTR EVO roaster (Ima Petroncini): features hot-air recirculation and energy-efficient design, with integrated sensors and digital control systems for process monitoring.
  • Vegatronic 6400 series (Ima Ilapak): open frame continuous motion vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machines for Doy Zipper bags (with 400 mm sealing jaws and high-speed zipper applicator). It reaches mechanical speeds up to 120 ppm.

The Vegatronic 6400 ML, a complete confectionery packaging line, is also demonstrated, combining robotic handling, flow wrapping, pouch filling, and case packing in an integrated setup. Additional systems include:

  • R-201 ND (Ima Eurosicma): flow wrapper for instant noodles (up to 200 instant noodle cakes/minute) with integrated sachet feeding.
  • SWM600 (Ima GIMA): high-speed wrapping machine for stick packs such as gum, mints, and pressed candies.
  • FD10-AD10 line (Ima Corazza): integrated solution for bouillon cube production from dosing to cartoning.
  • Multipack 5600 (Ima Benhil): dosing and wrapping system for butter and margarine combining servo-controlled dosing technology with lifting cells (up to 140 packs/minute).
  • EFS-X (Ima Erca): cup filling machine for liquid to pasty products (up to 12,600 cups/hour).

Ima further presents machines for personal care products and e-commerce packaging.
