With a hefty investment of 111 million euros, Neste has successfully commissioned its new upgrading facility for liquified waste plastic (LWP) at its Porvoo refinery in Finland. BASF starts up its first commercial loopamid plant for recycled polyamide 6 at the Caojing site in Shanghai, China. loopamid is capable of transforming textile waste into a valuable resource, helps save raw materials and closes the textile loop. The unit will have an annual capacity of 500 metric tons.
