Technip Energies has been awarded a bankable feasibility study contract by Viridian Lithium to develop the first lithium refining and conversion plant in Europe. The France-based plant is expected to produce up to 100,000 tons of battery grade lithium chemicals annually which will establish a secure battery supply chain for the region’s electric vehicle industry.
Evonik has sold its Lülsdorf site along with its associated cyanuric chloride business in Wesseling, Germany to the International Chemical Investors Group. With this move, the Group has also acquired all the production units at the site.

Dow and Mura Technology have plans to build Europe’s largest advanced recycling plant for plastics at Dow's Böhlen site in Germany. The project is expected to deliver approximately 120 KTA of advanced recycling capacity. This is one of the many series of plants that are being planned to be built across the U.S. and Europe.
