Haldor Topsoe and Comprimo have announced a global strategic alliance to jointly license the Topclaus sulfur removal and recovery solution. The technology will help customers achieve more than 99.9 % SRE by integrating Topsoe’s proprietary WSA process and Comprimo’s Claus process.

Technip Energies together with Monford Group has secured an EPCC contract to develop a green hydrogen plant – Yuri, phase O in Australia. Awarded by Yuri Operations, the project is expected to produce up to 640 tonnes of green hydrogen annually and will be used in the existing Yara Pilbara Ammonia Plant to produce green ammonia.

Technical studies for Brooge Energy’s green ammonia project in the UAE has been completed by thyssenkrupp Uhde. The project will be making use of thyssenkrupp nucera’s alkaline water electrolysis and thyssenkrupp Uhde ammonia synthesis technologies.

Air Liquide will offer a customized solution to Verallia’s glass production plant in Pescia, Italy. The solution aims at reducing CO2 emissions and energy consumption at the site. The firm will also build and operate for Verallia a new generation onsite oxygen production unit in Pescia, Italy.

No gas and still little hope: Chlorine manufacturing is under enormous pressure caused by skyrocketing energy costs. Clariant has plans to take over the leading provider of high value ingredients for the cosmetics and personal care industry Lucas Meyer Cosmetics from International Flavors & Fragrances. The deal is expected to strengthen Clariant’s position as a specialty chemical company and its footprint in North America.

Under the terms of the agreement, Lyondell Basell and 23 Oaks Investments, a solution provider in the upcycling of PCR plastic waste, will establish a joint venture called Source One Plastics. The JV will aim to develop an advanced plastic waste sorting and recycling facility in Germany which will produce processed waste for Lyondell Basell’s new advanced recycling plant in Wesseling, Germany.
