CSSC Power has chosen BASF’s OASE blue gas treatment technology for developing an advanced onboard CO2 capture system for commercial maritime applications. The collaboration aims to achieve sustainable developments in the global shipping industry.

Under a long-term agreement signed between both the parties, Air Liquide will develop a new hydrogen production unit at the Grandpuits site in France. This unit will partly use biogas from Total Energies’ Grandpuits biorefinery and make use of Air Liquide’s carbon capture technology to produce renewable, low-carbon hydrogen which will be used by the biorefinery to produce sustainable aviation fuel.

Under an agreement between Cepsa and Fertiberia, both the companies will work together to develop a large-scale green hydrogen plant in Huelva, Spain. With this project, the parties aim to decarbonize their production processes in the region.

Exxonmobil has started-up its Beaumont refinery expansion project in the USA which is expected to increase capacity for transportation fuels by 2,50,000 barrels daily. The project is claimed to be the largest refinery expansion in the country since 2012.

The consortium comprising Air Liquide, Chevron Corporation, Lyondell Basell, and Uniper will conduct a joint study to evaluate the development of a hydrogen and ammonia production facility along the U.S. Gulf Coast. If established, the unit is expected to support industrial decarbonization and mobility applications in the region as well as expand ammonia exports.

BASF’s OASE blue technology will be used to recover CO2 from flue gas and Messer will then refine it up to food grade quality in order to supply the CO2 to its customers across Europe.

Fluid Components International (FCI) has introduced the ST75 Series air/gas flow meter for measuring numerous gases such as ammonia, argon, CO2, chlorine, ethane, fluorine, nitrogen, ozone, refrigerants, sulfur dioxide and many more for dosing and injection applications.

Foresight Group has awarded Nextchem with a feasibility study for developing a carbon capture and sustainable methanol synthesis plant in the ETA Manfredonia waste-to-energy plant in Italy. The project aims to valorize about 200 ktonne/year of CO2 currently emitted into the atmosphere by combining it with green hydrogen for the production of sustainable fuel.

Clariant has inaugurated its new Catofin catalyst production site in China which aims to strengthen its regional presence and increase its local production of catalyst technologies. The project was completed in 18 months.
