Located in Pennsylvania, the project – Shell Polymers Monaca is the first major polyethylene manufacturing complex in the Northeastern United States which is expected to produce 1.6 million tonnes every year.

Qatar Energy and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company have recently undertaken a Final Investment Decision to develop a world-scale integrated polymers facility – the Golden Triangle Polymers Plant in the USA. The 8.5-billion-dollar project will include an ethylene cracker unit and two high-density polyethylene units.

With an aim to establish a global nylon 6,6 production facility at its South Carolina site in the USA, Invista has broken ground for a new nylon polymer facility at the site. The new plant is expected to increase the production volume of polymers at the site.
