With an aim to establish a global nylon 6,6 production facility at its South Carolina site in the USA, Invista has broken ground for a new nylon polymer facility at the site. The new plant is expected to increase the production volume of polymers at the site.

Under a MOU signed between Ineos and Plastic Energy, both the companies will produce 100,000 tonnes of recycled raw materials from plastic waste and create virgin-quality polymers. The partners will also explore the construction of a commercial-scale plant.
