Solvay has plans to expand its electronic grade hydrogen peroxide production capacity in Taiwan. With this move, the company intends to more than double its annual production capacity by the end of 2026.

Brussels/Belgium – Solvay recently announced an expansion of its electronic grade hydrogen peroxide production capacity in Taiwan through its joint venture, Shinsol Advanced Chemicals. The expansion will more than double annual production capacity by the end of 2026.

The announcement builds on the launch of Shinsol Advanced Chemicals' electronic grade hydrogen peroxide facility in Taiwan in 2023. Electronic grade hydrogen peroxide is a critical chemical used to clean semiconductor wafers during chip manufacturing. As chips become smaller and more complex, even microscopic traces of impurities can affect performance. Solvay's ultra-high purity products help ensure the quality and reliability required for advanced semiconductor technologies.

The high-purity grades produced in Taiwan have been qualified by local customers and deliver the same performance, quality standards and consistency as products supplied from Solvay's global manufacturing network.
