Mann+Hummel wants to strengthen its position in the water filtration business and increases its shares in the membrane and module manufacturer Microdyn-Nadir. Since August 2014 the company headquartered in Wiesbaden has been responsible for Mann+Hummel´s water business.

It all began with bulk-material feeders and dischargers. Over the past six decades the company became a globally operating manufacturer of of weighing, feeding, discharging, controlling and flow metering equipment and systems for the bulk materials. A good reason to look back and to arm the company for the future.

Fluor Corporation announced that it has secured a contract for engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for BASF’s toluene diisocyanate (TDI) Complex project at BASF’s site in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Fluor booked the undisclosed value into backlog in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Oxea announced that its specialty esters plant in Nanjing, China, is now mechanically complete. After a construction period of slightly more than fifteen months the new state-of-the-art plant is currently in the commissioning and start-up phase. The new plant is Oxea’s first production site in Asia.

Cleaning in Place (CIP) has been around for approximately 50 years, and is commonly used in hygiene critical industries, such Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical, to clean a wide range of plant. CIP refers to the use of a mix of chemicals, heat and water to clean machinery, vessels or pipe work without dismantling plant. The process can be one shot, where everything goes to drain, or recovery, which recycles most of the liquid. Overall, CIP can be a very efficient way of cleaning.

Processing plants usually operate for decades and therefore it becomes important and essential to modernize its systems. Carrying out the necessary activities during ongoing plant operations becomes difficult when the process control systems become old and thus should be modernised or completely replaced.

For its strategic investment into the propylene oxide value chain, Mol Group is partnering with Evonik and Thyssenkrupp. The company announced that this project would be their largest investment project in 2017-21.
