With an investment of 5.4 billion dollars, Enegix Energy has launched the Base One green hydrogen project in collaboration with the State Government of Ceará, Brazil. The mega plant is expected to produce over 600 million kg of green hydrogen annually.

BASF produces two types of styrene with a mass balance approach – renewable feedstock based-styrene and styrene based on chemically recycled feedstock. Trinseo has secured the first supplies of styrene based on the two different kinds of circular feedstock and will use it to produce styrene butadiene rubber and polystyrene products.

Ineos Styrolution, Recycling Technologies and Trinseo have advanced in their plans to construct commercial polystyrene (PS) recycling plants in Europe. The three companies aim to make PS a circular material through depolymerization.

The hydrogen pilot project is being carried out in a commercial scale cogeneration plant for the first time in Belgium. The move is expected to gradually replace natural gas by hydrogen for generating electricity and heat.
