Siemens Plans to Put Focus on Platforms

On 1 October, Siemens started for the first time with their own division for the process industry–Germany's biggest industrial group has restructured. "Yet again?", critics asked. But this time the group came up with concrete action in keeping with their Vision 2020 and formed their own "Process Industries and Drives" division. Jacobs Gets Owner’s Engineer Contract for Power Plant in the Philippines

Jacobs Engineering Group announced that it was selected by Therma Visayas (TVI), a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation, for the role of owner’s engineer for the construction of a new 2 x 150 Megawatt electric (MWe) circulating fluidized bed (CFB) coal-fired power plant in Barangay Bato, Toledo City, Philippines.Company officials did not disclose the contract value. The plant is scheduled for completion in 2017.
