Huntsman has completed the purchase of the remaining 50 % interest in the Sasol-Huntsman maleic anhydride joint venture from Sasol. With this deal, the company now owns manufacturing assets in Moers, Germany, and also has the capacity to produce 230 million pounds of maleic anhydride annually.

With a production capacity of 25,000 tonnes per annum, the new facility will be built to increase Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation’s polyester film production capacity in Indonesia. The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2021.
