With the acquisition, Maag Pump Systems will form a new integrated Gear Pumps business unit which will be led by the Managing Director and former owner of Witte Pumps & Technology. The deal is expected to expand Maag’s product portfolio, enhance its technical and manufacturing capabilities and also extend its global footprint.

Under the terms of a joint venture agreement signed between Ineos and Sinopec, Ineos will acquire a 50 % share in Sinopec’s existing Tianjin Nangang Ethylene Project which is currently under development. Metso Outotec has bagged a 70-million-euro contract by Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Company for delivering two identical sulfuric acid plants for its zinc roasting facility in Almalyk, Uzbekistan.
