India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Total Energies have entered into a cooperation agreement to detect and measure methane emissions. Under the terms of contract, Total Energies’ Airborne Ultralight Spectrometer for Environmental Applications technology will be used by ONGC for reducing its methane emissions.

Chevron Lummus Global has commissioned the world's largest white oil hydroprocessing unit for Hongrun Petrochemical in China. The new plant consists of two units – a 500,000-metric-tons per annum nameplate capacity API Group III lubricating base oil unit with the capability to produce industrial-grade white oil, and a 200,000 metric tons per annum nameplate capacity food grade white oil unit.
