Vietnam: Plasterboard Saint-Gobain Plans Construction of New Gypsum Plant

In order to support its growth strategy in the region, Saint-Gobain has announced the construction of a second plasterboard plant in Vietnam.

Haiphong/Vietnam — The Haiphong plant will come in addition to existing capacity in Ho Chi Minh in Southern Vietnam.

With this investment the company intends to increase its commercial presence on this market.

The new plant is expected to start up at the end of 2018.

The company already operates eight manufacturing sites in the region in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
