Finland: Biogas Plant Pöyry Awarded Contract for Biogas Plant Expansion by Gasum

Gasum has awarded Pöyry an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services assignment for the expansion project of the Topinoja biogas plant in Turku, Finland.

Martinlaakso/Finland — Gasum's biogas project in Turku comprises the expansion and modernization of the Topinoja biogas plant, and the construction of a biogas upgrading and liquefaction plant. The expansion project will be completed during 2019. The Turku plant will be the first in Finland to liquify biogas directly from a biogas production facility enabling its use in heavy duty trucks. In addition to biogas, new types of nutrient and fertilizer products will be delivered to customers.

The consulting and engineering company has already been involved during the basic engineering phase. The value of the current order is not disclosed.
